St George’s Hospital’s A&E department is one of the most advanced and busiest in the world, providing a 24-hour emergency service, 365 days a year to patients who are severely injured or who have developed a serious illness.

Home to the RTS award-winning documentary series, 24 Hours in A&E, which follows patients treated in the same 24 hour period at St George’s, the department sees around 120,000 patients a year from the local area, south west London and Surrey and further afield as patients are airlifted to the hospital’s helipad.

Our Appeal aims to provide more unique and important equipment and facilities for the A&E department – kit that is ‘over and above’ what can normally be provided so your help will support the team continue to achieve remarkable things.

The Appeal aims to raise funds for the identified equipment as well as the general and urgent needs of the A&E department. In the event that more funds are raised for the identified equipment, the charity will apply donations for other identified and urgently needed equipment in the department. Undefined gifts made for the benefit of A&E  will be assigned to the most urgent needs as identified by the charity and applied to those purposes.
