Cardiac Appeal

Cardiac' is a broad term for the multitude of specialist services that come under the Cardiology and Cardiovascular sections at St George's and Queen Mary's.

Our Appeal aims to raise funds to support enhanced diagnosis and treatment for patients by providing new equipment.

 Here is our current need:-

Cardiac Exercise testing equipment  £25,000  Donate now

The cardiac investigations department is one of the busiest in London.  It sees tens of thousands of patients each year.  There are several tests that can be done for patients to determine how their heart responds to stress of various types and exercise is one of those.  It is less invasive than other tests and the more exercise testing machines that are available the better the service we can provide to those patients.

The current equipment records paper ECGs and we would like to provide a system that  allows export to a central storage system.

We would welcome your support, and every donation helps us to reach the goal of enhancing the experience of patients.

The Cardiac Appeal aims to raise funds for the identified equipment as well as the general and urgent needs of the cardiac disciplines. In the event that more funds are raised for the identified equipment, the charity will apply donations for other identified and urgently needed equipment in the cardiac field. Undefined gifts made for the benefit of cardiac disciplines at the hospitals will be assigned to the most urgent cardiac needs as identified by the charity and applied to those purposes.
