Easter Appeal

With Easter fast-approaching, we know our generous supporters will be thinking of the children in hospital over this period. If you are thinking of donating Easter eggs, we have a special request.

Many people donate chocolate eggs to the hospital, and we are so grateful for this kindness. Another way to support the children in the hospital would be to help raise money to buy a new Bubble PlayTouch LED system, a gift that will bring joy to our youngest patients for years to come.

The Bubble PlayTouch is a piece of equipment which will prove invaluable to the young people at St George’s Hospital. The interactive screen will provide hours of entertainment for patients by use of games, patterns and delights for all age groups.

Justine Makin Lead Health Play Specialist explains; “Being in hospital is difficult at any time, but particularly for children. Donations and fundraising mean that we can provide our children and young people with provision, activities, materials, equipment and multi-sensory experiences. Through preparation and distraction, we can help to alleviate fears and anxieties thus providing them with a greater hospital experience”.

If you are a community group, school or organisation, why not use this as a fun way to engage your members or students and to support our youngest patients, this Easter and beyond.

Still really want to give a chocolate egg? If you would like to donate these, we would be grateful to receive them. Please hand these into the Fundraising Office, Ground Floor, Grosvenor Wing, between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Good Friday).
