Grants Officer

St George’s is also one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals, treating over 500,000 patients every year, and has an international reputation for quality of care and cutting-edge treatment.

St George’s Hospital Charity is central to the Hospital’s continued success. We provide vital support by funding state-of-the-art equipment, commissioning medical research, and enhancing the hospital environment through refurbishments. The charity also supports St George’s Trust staff through training and development as well as funding the Arts at St George’s Programme which delivers a wide range of engaging arts initiatives to support patients, families and staff.

We are looking for an experienced Grants Officer to join our dynamic organisation. The post holder will have responsibility for managing our current grants portfolio and handling the busy demands for funding within St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. There will also be an opportunity to shape and influence current procedures and processes, and further engrain the importance of grant delivery for the hospital.

Ambitious and degree-qualified, you will bring a strong record of success in managing funds or grants, preferably within a charitable organisation, backed by outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills.

A passion for the healthcare sector would naturally be useful, as would broad understanding of financial processes, but it’s your drive and determination to make a difference that will matter most.
