Celebrating Arts St George's new exhibition with Bounce Theatre

One week after the 'Sticking Together: Collaging Community' exhibition was installed at St George's Hospital, Arts St George's welcomed members of the 'Turn Up, Join In' and members of the team from Bounce Theatre to admire their artwork.
In Spring 2025, Arts St George’s collaborated with Bounce Theatre to produce a series of workshops with the ‘Turn Up, Join In’ art group at the Home Community Café in Earlsfield. Each week, the members of the group collaged beautiful pieces inspired by artworks from the St George’s Art and Heritage Collection which came together as a vibrant installation at the Home Community Café. The group continued to develop the project over the summer once the workshops had finished.
The exhibition was co-curated by the participants with the Arts St George’s team, selecting pieces from our collection and their own collages, exploring nature, colour, community and the creative process of collage. The exhibition also includes photographs of the installation as it was displayed in the Home Community Café.
The celebration event was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the new exhibition. The group enjoyed seeing the display, they took photographs with their artworks and were excited to share the exhibition with their friends and families!

The 'Our Hospital: conserving, curating and responding to St George’s Art and Heritage Collection’ is a three-year project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and made possible by money raised by National Lottery players. The project is focusing on conserving, cataloguing, reinterpreting and digitising St George’s Hospital’s unique Art and Heritage Collection so it can be enjoyed by many more people.
