Nicky Simpson, a talented textiles artist, designer, and teacher, goes beyond traditional volunteering by sharing her creative expertise through Arts St George's. Nicky's involvement brings a unique dimension to patient care, spreading creativity and joy in a different environment.
Her varied tasks, from organising bake sales to assisting with fundraising events, keep her engaged and excited to help in any way she can. Nicky finds great joy in interacting with a wide range of individuals and cherishes the friendships she has made during her time at the hospital.

Jan Rose, another long-term volunteer, exemplifies the desire to give back rooted in a deep appreciation for the kindness and care she received from others. Jan's commitment to volunteering shines through her enthusiastic presence at Charity events.
She particularly enjoys bucket collections held in various locations across the city, witnessing the generosity of people even during challenging times. Jan embraces the diversity of events, from abseiling down buildings to supporting runners in marathons, and treasures the memorable experiences, such as working with choirs at a church and a local school.

Inspired by her own personal journey, Trixie Roberts discovered the power of giving back and joined St George's Hospital Charity as a volunteer. After experiencing exceptional care during surgery, Trixie felt a profound appreciation for the hospital and sought an opportunity to express her gratitude.
Since February 2018, Trixie has been providing a helping hand in the charity office, supporting various activities and fundraising events. However, it is the connections she has forged along the way that have made her volunteering experience truly meaningful.
