We are thrilled to announce that Katy Vaughan will be joining us as the new Chief Executive of St George's Hospital Charity

Katy brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the charity sector, having served as the Executive Director of Fundraising and Communications at St Giles Trust since June 2018. St Giles Trust is a national charity providing advice, training, and support to individuals facing challenges such as poverty, unemployment, the criminal justice system, and homelessness.

During her time at St Giles Trust, Katy led the organisation through significant growth and change. She developed and implemented a major donor strategy, resulting in an increase of over £1.5 million in high-value donor contributions over three years. Katy also spearheaded the Trust and Foundation acquisition strategy, grew unrestricted income from £200,000 to over £1 million, and secured high-value corporate partnerships, increasing corporate income by more than £1 million.

Prior to her role at St Giles Trust, Katy spent over eight years at the Anna Freud Centre, where she held positions as Communications and Project Manager and later as Head of Fundraising. In the latter role, she developed and led the implementation of an annual revenue fundraising strategy across various streams, including capital fundraising, major donors, statutory fundraising, grants, trusts and foundations, as well as corporate partnerships.

On joining St George’s Hospital Charity, Katy said:

"I am incredibly honoured to be entrusted with the role of CEO at St George's Hospital Charity. It is an extraordinary opportunity to lead this exceptional organisation towards transformative impact. I look forward to working collaboratively with the dedicated staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to enhance our fundraising efforts, strengthen our grant-making impact, and ultimately make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of patients and their families, hospital staff and the communities we serve.”

Katy will be joining us on Monday, March 18th, and we eagerly anticipate introducing her to our supporters in the coming weeks. We are confident that her leadership and experience will play a significant role in shaping the charity's new strategy and amplifying the positive impact we have on the communities we serve.
