Malden Centre birthday celebrations for Neuro Appeal

13th November 2017

The Malden Centre are celebrating their 30th birthday with an open day in aid of our Neuro Appeal.

It takes place on Saturday November 25 and a £1 registration fee will provide a wristband that gives access to all activities, with all money raised donated to the Appeal.

There are lots of free activities planned including:
Free classes
Free swimming
Free gym tasters
Free children’s events
Celebration afternoon tea

A full programme of events can be found here

The event is part of the Malden Centre's year long programme of fundraising for our Neuro Appeal - supporting New Malden mum, Emma Holloway, who had lifesaving chordoma cancer treatment at St George's.

Emma launched our Neuro Appeal last year after she had a nine-hour operation at  St George’s to remove most of the chordoma tumour that had grown into her spinal cord.

Her neurosurgeon, Matthew Crocker, operated safely using a loaned machine that monitors the impact on the spinal cord.

Emma is backing our appeal which includes raising the money to buy one of the devices  for the hospital’s neurosurgery department.
