London Landmarks Half Marathon: Peter Laskey

19th March 2019

‘Thank you very much for your hard work, patience and positivity!’

This coming Sunday, Peter Laskey, 34, will be running 13.1 miles in the renowned London Landmarks Half Marathon. By taking part Peter will be raising funds for St George’s Hospital Charity, where his support will contribute to making a real difference to the lives of thousands of patients and their families, as well as benefiting the amazing teams at St George’s and Queen Mary’s Hospitals.

Peter has been a patient at St George’s Hospital for a number of years. Being a regular visitor to three different departments, Peter has experienced first-hand the work that the staff of St George’s Hospital do, and their capacity to support in any way they can. Peter says ‘I’ve always found the staff and care to be brilliant at the hospital in what is such a challenging and busy environment!’

A keen runner, a half marathon is a walk (or run!) in the park for this Brighton Marathon finisher! He has also run in other half marathons and is seeing London Landmarks as the prime opportunity to support his local hospital.

Having seen the advert for our available charity places in London Landmarks whilst on his way to a routine blood test in the hospital, Peter committed to raising money for St George’s Hospital Charity, and saying thank you to the hospital that continues to treat and support him.

In his words; ‘I can’t wait to get going on Sunday!

Supporting St George’s Hospital Charity means the most urgent needs of the hospital can be addressed, helping to secure items such as medical equipment, facilities, research, support group funding for those living with chronic conditions, arts and musical therapies plus so much more.

We can’t thank him enough for fundraising for us!

Good luck Peter!
