St George’s Paediatric Therapy Team really go the extra mile to raise funds for their department

16th September 2019

St George’s Paediatric Therapy Team are not only talking the talk when it comes to raising awareness of holistic patient care but are also walking the walk to back it up. They ran the Wimbledon half marathon on 13 Oct 2019 to raise funds for St George’s Paediatric Therapy department.

As part of this campaign, the Paediatric Therapy Team undertook a Walkathon to help raise awareness of their fund-raising efforts and showcase that mobility in everyday life is both important and achievable by all. Through walking a collective 50km they were able to raise close to £500 towards their £3000 goal.

The Walkathon was a great success and the team had a fantastic day raising awareness for Paediatric Therapies.

Thank you to everyone who was so generous with their donations and support for the team. For anyone who still wishes to donate/share the initiative please visit the link for the team’s JustGiving page.
