Mark Healy is taking on the tremendously challenging Lands End to John O’Groats Ride Across Britain (LEJOG RAB) later this year for St George’s Hospital Charity.

Mark decided to take on this challenge for the Charity in order to thank the team that he says ‘literally screwed me back together again’ after he fell off his bicycle on the way to work and broke his pelvis into fragments.

Mark said: "I reflect on my amazing return to fitness following this major trauma every day… Kind nurses, genius surgeons, and determined physios all worked miracles to get me back to a level of recovery I didn’t think possible.

"Therefore, as a keen cyclist, the Lands End to John O’Groats challenge seemed a great way to test myself following my cycle accident and hopefully inspire people to donate to St George’s & raise money to help anyone else going on this journey."

Mark’s training is in full swing for this huge 970-mile challenge, he is using his smart cycle trainer to get his mileage up through these current cold months but is looking forward to getting out on the road in the spring.

He has already raised a phenomenal £2,595 for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward but with a huge £5,000 target he would love your support.
