South London, Let’s Run for St George’s
07 September 2026
As the event’s Community Charity Partner, we’ll be shining a light on our incredible hospitals and the NHS heroes who care for our community around the clock.
Every member of our community has a connection to St George’s. Every year, 4,000 babies are born, more than 150,000 people are seen in the Emergency Department and 64,000 inpatients are admitted. The hospital is there for local people throughout their lives, including during some of their hardest moments- and we at the Charity are right there alongside it. We help make St George’s better for everyone, funding more than 160 projects each year to support our NHS teams, improve patient care and invest in the future.
We’d love for you to join the celebration and run for Team George’s on 14 March 2027. And there’s plenty to look forward to along the way:
- An incredible event atmosphere across Morden and Wimbledon
- Friends and family cheering you on every step of the way
- Our NHS Staff Choir bringing some St George’s spirit to the route
- The St George’s Hospital Charity team waiting to welcome you at the finish line
For many people, running for St George’s is a chance to give something back to the hospital that has been there for them or someone they love.
One of our supporters, who previously took part in a running event for the Charity, shared why fundraising for St George’s means so much to him:
“Due to a sudden medical emergency, I spent almost three months in the Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care Unit of St George’s Hospital.
“The amazing doctors, nurses and therapists here saved my life, fixed me, helped me learn to walk and talk again, and allowed me to live a normal life.
“My remarkable wife and I, with the support of some brilliant friends, are running to raise money for all the incredible heroes at this hospital as a small token of our eternal gratitude. I wouldn’t be alive without them!”
