St George’s Hospital Charity awarded £198,000 for staff wellbeing, from NHS Charities Together

St George’s Hospital Charity has generously been awarded a sum of £198,000 from NHS Charities Together as part of the pandemic response, looking to bring clear benefits to staff long term health and recovery.

The funding will cover five projects across the hospital, focusing on addressing staff health and wellbeing...

1. Shower Blocks
This will support staff to use active forms of transportation to/from work, as well as providing washing facilities before and after shifts in a Covid-19 climate.

2. Cycle Storage
To provide staff with increased access to safety storing their cycles whilst at work.

3. Free Health and Wellbeing Classes for Staff
To provide staff with free access to a range of health and wellbeing classes for the next year.

4. Outdoor Wellbeing relaxation, rest and garden areas
To provide staff with outdoor wellbeing and rest facilities to improve access to fresh air and enhance their wellbeing at work.

5. Electrical goods and furniture for staff areas
To enhance existing electrical goods and furniture such as kettles, fridges, microwaves and sofa’s to ensure staff areas are comfortable and fit for purpose.
