St George’s Hospitals Staff Choir star on Good Morning Britain Christmas Day Show!

In mid-December, our St George’s singers and the St George’s Hospital Charity Arts Team took an exciting and top-secret trip to the ITV Studios, to perform their original song ‘Who Cares For The Carers’ to camera, introduced by Ed Balls, Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid.
The song was written by the group, led by Georgia Duncan, to mark the 75th Year of the NHS in 2023. It was chosen by the ITV Producers to compliment a segment of the show which celebrates brilliant and committed carers across the UK, particularly over the festive season.

The filming was an especially important moment for the Choir, as it was our last session with Choir Leader Georgia Duncan before she moves on to new adventures in 2025. Since 2022, Georgia has been instrumental in helping to establish the Choir to the thriving initiative it is today. We would like to share our gratitude to Georgia for her dedication, skill and enthusiasm – she will be missed!

The St George’s Hospitals Staff Choir is funded and produced by St George’s Hospital Charity. They meet every Thursday during term time, from 5-6:15pm.
