Staff enjoy free tickets to top cultural events!12 October 2021
Our staff show exceptional care and compassion for their patients and one another every day. The Staff Arts Club initiative seeks to give back to these selfless workers, and instead provide opportunities to treat themselves (and their loved ones); visiting an exhibition, spending time in gardens or learning a new artistic skill.
We’re delighted to say the uptake of our offered for free and discounted tickets has been overwhelmingly positive, including visits to blockbuster exhibitions at the Tate, exclusive tours of Chelsea Physic Garden alongside a visit to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Here’s what our members have to say:
‘I attended the Turner exhibition at the Tate following a very challenging few weeks at work and I really enjoyed the opportunity to relax and focus on something else.’
‘Fantastic afternoon. Great to expose myself to the works of art - and the fact it was facilitated by St. George's helped to make work a bit more enjoyable.’
Alongside these popular cultural events we run bespoke evening art workshops by professional artists and ranging from poetry to textiles - there’s something for everyone.
‘Great fun, really relaxing and positive! It was also lovely to meet artist and staff from other department. Great for wellbeing!’
We’re not stopping here!
Coming up we’ll have more fully subsided tickets, trips and workshops to warm up your winter.
