Teddy Tope’s Legacy

Teddy was born on the 4th January 2023 and was adored by all his family, especially his older siblings Tommy, Mary, and Maggie. On 5th October Teddy was suddenly taken ill with meningitis and was admitted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at St George’s Hospital.
Teddy sadly passed away on Monday 16th October, but his family say, ‘The care and support we received over the 11 days he was there was outstanding’ and they will ‘be forever grateful for the dignity and grace in which the staff supported us through this.’
To show their gratitude for the wonderful work the staff at St George’s Hospital do, and in honour of the joy Teddy brought to all their lives, they are raising funds for our Time for a Change Appeal.
This includes family members taking on challenges such as the Brighton Marathon, and Amsterdam Triathlon and having a seven-person strong team taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2024. Collectively, the family have raised over £13,000 and counting in honour of Teddy.
