A huge thanks to Elliot, AKA the Easter Bunny, for supporting St George's Hospital Charity again!

This time last year, Elliot from Active Little Angels got in touch to raise funds for St George’s Hospital Charity. His fundraising idea was to dress up as the Easter bunny and run around his local area and St George’s to put a smile on people’s face. Well not only did he do that, but he raised over £6,000 for our Coronavirus Appeal!

Elliot said that he chose to support St George’s Hospital Charity as ‘St George's has helped me through multiple rugby injuries over the years, playing down the road at Battersea Ironsides, and it was the birth place of my son. I also know a lot of nurses and doctors there who play for the ladies and mens teams at the rugby club.’

He decided to take on his Easter Bunny running challenge as he teaches sports at nurseries for the company Active Little Angels and felt sorry that the children in his local area would miss out at Easter activities caused by the restrictions last March/April so he decided to bring Easter happiness to them!

Elliot added, ‘Training is easy as it is part of my job as a personal trainer. Running with a 6 ft bunny outfit is a struggle as it is hot and it is hard to see out of the head so you have to turn your body and head a lot.’ He said that he loves the excitement of the children and parents in the area regarding the run and that, ‘People are amazingly generous. I wasn't even aiming to raise money last time, just entertain the kids and they donated over £6000!’ He has been so in demand that he’s found it hard to say no to further locations!

Over the course of 2020 Elliot has taken on this challenge for different occasions, including Halloween, and now he is back to celebrate Easter again in his Easter bunny outfit and raise more funds for our Thank You Appeal. You can support him here!
