[Video] St George's Trust Senior Midwife Explains the Refurbishment of Ottilie's Suite

Senior Midwife, at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Hollie Ford talks about why refurbishing the Maternity Bereavement Suite at St George's Hospital was so important.

Last month during Baby Loss Awareness Week 2023, we invited families, staff members, and donors to help us unveil the new suite renamed Ottilie's Suite.

Hollie said: "We're very lucky to have this suite here at St George's, but before the refurbishment, it was very white, very medical.

"And not inviting at all and was definitely not worthy of the experiences that women and families were having here.

"So thankfully, we have been able to do this refurbishment and it's now a space that is to promote healing and a supportive space for our families and has been created and crafted with to create a warm and supportive atmosphere."
