As part of Volunteers Week 2020 we have been catching up with some of our volunteers about why they got involved. We hope you will join us in taking the time to say a big thank you to all those who have offered up their time to support St George’s Hospital Charity, we are so grateful to each and every one of you.

Today, we meet Jazz who has been volunteering during the Coronavirus Crisis.

Jazz has been volunteering as part of the Covid Response group supporting St George’s Hopsital Charity. She is involved wherever help is needed, from delivering freshly prepared meals to nurses, to packing hundreds of St George’s Charity Care Packages.

We asked Jazz to tell us a little bit about why she got involved and how she is finding it.

“I decided to join the group of volunteers because it makes such a difference to the hospital morale. I was blown away by the number of donations received from the local community.

I’ve loved seeing the smiles on healthcare workers' faces when we deliver the various goodies and I’ve met some fantastic people throughout my time.

I don’t have as much time now that I’ve started my foundation training, but it’s still nice to pop in and say hello every now and again!”

Thank you Jazz for stepping up to volunteer when our patients, staff and community needed you the most, we are so grateful to you and the whole team at Covid Response.
