Wandsworth’s London Borough of Culture 2025 Programme has launched!

Kicking off this April, the year-long celebration will bring people together to enjoy the rich mix of traditions, festivals, food, and arts that make Wandsworth so special. This year is all about showing how culture can spark joy, making us feel happier, healthier and more connected to each other.
How will the St George’s Hospitals be involved?
You may have seen Jan Arriola, Matron in Haematology and Oncology at St George’s starring in the introductory video for the programme – this is just the start of our involvement in the initiative!
St George’s Hospital Charity and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are key partners of the London Borough of Culture Year. We will be working with the Wandsworth team to deliver a new initiative called ‘Culturally Mindful’. This will be an innovative professional development programme connecting Global Majority creative practitioners with local organisations to transform wellbeing in Wandsworth.

What else will be happening locally?
More widely across the borough, get ready for epic experiences: from a mass dance event to huge outdoor concerts, plus festivals of food, heritage and performing arts, all designed to lift spirits, spark creativity, and connect us all.
