It is amazing to see that the new wellbeing hubs launched at St George’s Hospital are already making a huge difference. Take a listen to some St George’s Hospital staff that have tried and tested them:

Jo Hunter, Divisional Director of Nursing and Governance said: “I was very impressed with the wellbeing hub, what a transformation!. It was lovely to meet the airline staff who were so friendly and attentive- you feel you have stepped away from your work place when you are greeted by air crew… Most of us have had to adapt very quickly to a highly pressurised and often emotional way of working. It was a real experience and treat rolled in to one -I can't thank the teams involved enough in making this real for us, I genuinely felt like I wasn’t in the hospital anymore!”

Dr Yanushi Dullewe Wijeyeratne, Specialty Registrar in Cardiology said: “An enormous thank you to St George’s Hospital Charity and their patrons for making these excellent wellbeing facilities in the hospital a reality. It is incredible to have spaces such as these, to enable staff to come together and focus on our wellbeing, so that we can look after ourselves at work to optimally look after those who need us the most, our patients.”

Jenni Doman, Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities said:“From consultants to the porters, nurses to the catering staff, therapists to the midwives, pharmacy teams to the radiographers, laboratory testing teams to the estates team, management and admin teams to the cleaning teams – and all TeamGeorges staff - everyone is working so hard to help people at their most vulnerable. All these incredible donations to the charity appeal are valued and appreciated and we have been overwhelmed with this generosity at such a challenging time for our staff - Thank you !”
