Join Team George’s for the London Life Hike and help fund life-changing care, pioneering research, and improved  hospital spaces across St George's and Queen Mary's Hospitals. 

This is a family fun event suitable for adults and children of all ages. Choose from a 6km or 21km circular route starting and finishing at Southwark Park Bandstand.

The event is hosted by the London Ambulance Charity, and by registering with Team George’s you’ll proudly represent St George’s and Queen Mary’s Hospitals every step of the way.

Explore the route

 Starting in Southwark Park with a lively event village, complete a 6km walk along the Thames across Tower Bridge or take on the 21km hike through London Bridge, Waterloo and down to Battersea Park. You'll spot iconic landmarks including:

  • London Eye
  • Big Ben
  • St Pauls Cathedral
  • Tower of London

Where will the event take place?

Both the 21km and 6km route will start and finish at the event village locates at the Bandstand in Southwark Park, Gomm Road, London, SE16 2TX

There are many ways to travel to Southwark Park; by car, on foot or by public transport.

By Tube: Bermondsey, Canada Water or Surrey Quays.

By Train: Rotherhithe station

By Bus: 1, 47, 188, 199, 225, 381, 395, P13.

By Car: There is extremely limited parking available at Southwark Park, with most of the spaces having a 4-hour time limit. We therefore advice you to use other methods to get to the park.

What is the fundraising target?

We’re asking our adult participants to fundraise £100 for St George’s Hospital Charity. You will receive full support from our fundraising team with plenty of resources to help you. For any fundraising ideas check out our ‘fundraise for us’ webpage.

Is there a minimum age to take part?

No, there’s no minimum age to take part.
