Ballot results are out! If you we're lucky enough to receive a place in the ballot, we would love for you to run as part of Team George's. Register as an own place runner at the bottom of the page and receive the same benefits as our charity place participants.

- How does the application process work?
This is a highly sought after event and we only receive 4 charity places which means we use a careful application process to ensure charity placed are distributed fairly and reasonably.
Applicants are invited to answer a few questions about their motivations and fundraising plans to help us award the positions to fundraisers who are committed to fundraising, share our mission, and are commited to making a meaningful impact across our hospitals.
- When will I hear back?
Applications for this event will close on Sunday 12 July. We will aim to contact participants within two weeks of applications closing sharing whether they have been successful or unsuccessful.
- What is the fundraising target?
The fundraising target for this event is £3000 excluding gift aid. You will receive full support from a designated member of the fundraising team along with fundraising resources.
This target is broken down into achievable milestones to help you reach your fundraising goals. You must reach the 60% fundraising milestone around 10 weeks before the event date to confirm your place and ensure costs are covered.
- How far is the route?
The TCS London Marathon is the world’s biggest annual one-day fundraising event. You will join over 50,000 others for a 26.2 miles race through some of London's most famous landmarks.
- When will I get my start time?
You will receive your start time approximately three weeks before the event. Once the official event portal is open, you will be invited to upload your predicted finish time.
- Do I have to fundraise if I have a ballot place?
By running as part of Team George's as an own place runner, you do not have a minimum sponsorship target, you can fundraise what you can!
