We extend our heartfelt thanks for the continued generosity from all incredible individuals and organisations. Your support truly makes a lasting impact for the lives of our patients, their families and the exceptional staff who care for them.

Gifts in Kind

If you’d prefer to donate items rather than money, this is known as a gift-in-kind donation. While we are immensely thankful for all forms of support, we kindly encourage monetary donations where possible.

A donation of money is the most efficient and impactful way to give, as it means that your support will have an impact in the areas where it is most needed at that time.

If you’re looking to donate children's items, the Play Team has created a specific Amazon Wishlist, with things they genuinely need. This can often be the most helpful way to give.

Please note: any Christmas donations, if agreed with the team, must not be wrapped before drop off at the charity office. Thank you.

Gifts in Kind Enquiries

We ask that you please contact Giving@stgeorges.nhs.uk with photos and a description of the items that you wish to donate before bringing them to the hospital. We can then arrange a specific date and time for you to bring in your items.

Brand new items are preferable, due to infection control. There are restrictions on second hand items that we can accept, to ensure the safety of patients at the hospital. All offers of second-hand items must be reviewed by the relevant ward staff to ensure infection control. Please do not bring second-hand items to the hospital without first speaking to a member of our team, as we will not be able to accept them.

Items that we cannot accept

  • Un-announced drop-offs – we may not be able to use the items, and it is a challenge to store or re-home them.
  • Soft toys – these cannot be accepted due to infection control, unless they are brand new and packaged.
  • Second-hand items which are damaged or worn out – these cannot be accepted due to infection control and safety to protect our patients and staff.

For any other questions about donating gifts, please contact giving@stgeorges.nhs.uk and we will be in touch.

Other ways you can make a difference

  • Donate – Every donation, no matter the size, helps to improve care and outcomes for thousands of patients and their families.
  • Get involved in our thrilling fundraising events- It’s a chance to challenge yourself while supporting life-changing care!
  • Spread the word!
