To celebrate the 70th anniversary of one of the nation’s most loved institutions, the NHS, on 5 July 2018, seven leading international artists were asked by Imperial Health Charity to produce limited-edition prints to raise funds to support some of London’s busiest hospitals. This collection of prints was gifted to St George’s Hospital, as well as other London hospitals.
We are now celebrating the 75th anniversary of the NHS and this seems a fitting time to showcase these striking prints from seven world renowned artists: Peter Blake, Jeremy Deller, Tom Hammick, Mona Hatoum, David Mach, Elizabeth Magill & Chris Orr.
The prints that comprise this portfolio are a joyous selection of images showcasing the breadth of techniques and styles possible in printmaking, from wonderful experimentations with colour and expressive mark making, to collages and exciting uses of found imagery and newsprint.
